What Is FK 5 1 12?
FK‑5‑1‑12 is a next‑generation, clean, non‑conductive suppression agent that discharges as a liquid and instantly flashes to a gas for efficient knock‑down and extended effective range. It’s non‑corrosive, leaves no residue, and has excellent people‑ and asset‑protection characteristics (low toxicity profile; LOAEL 10%). Environmentally, FK‑5‑1‑12 has zero ozone‑depletion potential (ODP) and ultra‑low global‑warming potential (<1 GWP) with an atmospheric lifetime measured in days, not years.

FAQ’s
Are CLEANGUARD+ extinguishers safe for energized equipment?
Yes. FK‑5‑1‑12 is electrically non‑conductive and leaves no residue, making it ideal for energized circuits, servers, and control panels.
Do they meet code?
CLEANGUARD+ models are UL/ULC listed and tested to ANSI/UL 2129/711 with model‑specific ratings. Your AHJ/NFPA 10 governs placement and count.
What’s the difference between FK 5 1 12 and Halotron®?
FK‑5‑1‑12 offers 0 ODP, <1 GWP and a very short atmospheric lifetime. It also shows a more favorable cardiotoxicity profile and much smaller minimum room volume requirements for approved use when compared to many halocarbons. See the comparison above.
Is there an MRI safe option?
Yes. CA14‑NM is MR Conditional (tested to 7.0 T) with a stainless, non‑magnetic assembly for mounting inside MRI rooms.
How often do these need service?
Perform monthly visual inspections; schedule annual maintenance by a licensed technician; plan hydrostatic testing every 12 years (per model data sheet/label); and recharge after any discharge.
Can you ship these anywhere in the U.S.?
Yes—nationwide shipping is available. Most units ship via ground service due to carrier rules for pressurized cylinders. We’ll handle the packaging and logistics.
Do you stock cabinets and signage?
Yes—surface, semi‑recessed, and recessed cabinets; vehicle and marine brackets; decals and ID signs are available.
